DJ G2G
Danish-Uruguayan DJ, musician and artist DJ G2G is fast making a name for themselves on an international scale. Through their energetic, playful, fun and experimental approach to mixing genres while referencing popular internet-culture, They have created their own characteristic signature.
Having played at Barcelona’s Razzmatazz to Nowadays in NYC to Taipei’s FINAL, amongst others, DJ G2G has cemented themselves as one to watch on the Danish music scene. For WOOD WOOD’s AW23 HEAVEN OUT HERE runway show, DJ G2G compiled a soundtrack that reverberated with the brand’s collection ethos—a safe space to party, underpinned by an undercurrent of community. A pulsating bass line and deconstructed clubby beats were mixed with elements of Latin Groove to create a fast-paced soundscape layered with ethereal vocal samples. In essence, DJ G2G turned up the volume on a runway show that was as unapologetic as they come.
How soon is now? To spin a track, enter a DJ booth, illuminate a dance floor. There’s no joy in division, but in the way that music makes people come together. The undulating baselines, crisp emotion-laden vocals and synths transported from a distant sphere: we collude so we can praise the ambience, as we should.
