The Salomon XT-SLATE for WOOD WOOD is built for this. A brand-new silhouette designed to take on every terrain: those that are familiar and others that have yet to be explored. Crafted with Salomon’s design legacy in mind, the model takes its cues from the French Alps: where the brand’s own journey began. Mountaineering heritage comes to the fore, present in the shoe’s sculptural mesh upper, meant to imitate the grandeur of a sprawling mountainous landscape. Available in two earth-toned colourways, the black WOOD WOOD-exclusive version includes a Nightshade lining while the dark-brown iteration features a statement tongue in Biking Red. Both palettes pay homage to vintage mountaineering photography – raw in authenticity.
Salomon’s Advanced ChassisTM system integrated into the midsole takes the hit on uneven surfaces for a smooth tread while the Contagrip® outsole features a reverse chevron lug pattern to prevent slippage and ensure extra grip. Co-branding can be found on the shoe’s contrasting tongue, tucked under a toggled lacing system for a secure fit.
