How soon is now? To spin a track, enter a DJ booth, illuminate a dance floor. There’s no joy in division, but in the way that music makes people come together. The undulating baselines, crisp emotion-laden vocals and synths transported from a distant sphere: we collude so we can praise the ambience, as we should. MUZAK is a place for fire starters—where hedonistic playlists are shared and oeuvres opened up like the emergent stages of a mosh pit. Whether you join us live or somewhere along the waves, here's where you’ll find your space in the crowd.

PAOLO FORCHETTI

The music mix for WOOD WOOD is a combination of musical genres that converge in a single layer; one that contains all the sounds of the past and the present, with a look towards the future. The mix opens with a thought from Björk about how distracted we are by the devices around us. Our minds are hypnotised and inundated with lots of information. Mechanical sounds combine with the notes of ‘Dansevise' by Grethe & Jørgen Ingmann, bleeding into the idyllic, Scandinavian rhythms of Björk’s 'Venus as a boy' featuring the synthetic sounds of Roza Terenzi, the dark tunes of Abysmal Specter and the 4/4 kick drums of Orbital.
